According to studies, children under age 5 are very difficult to sensitize to urushiol oil. For those ages 6 to 8, 85% can be experimentally sensitized. This information comes from Dr. William L. Epstein's clinical studies in sensitization ("Occupational Poison Ivy and Oak Dermatitis", Dermatologic Clinics, vol. 12, no. 3 - April-June 1994).
So the answer is not impossible but nearly so. |
