I get PI several times a year and will go to the Dr for medrol dosepak if it's bad. My eyes were swollen this morning with a nasty reaction. I have PI on my arms, legs and face. I started the prednisone pills at noon and two hours later the swelling on my eye has gone down.
The PI may still take 14 to 21 days to run its course but at least I won't look like a monster during that time. If you have blisters, you need to be careful of secondary infection. A good reason to use a lot of soap, antibiotic creams and see a Doctor if it's getting out of control. |
