Thanks for an excellent answer. I always seem to forget about the Extension offices and they are a useful ally here. Also, a number of cities and towns across the country have a town forrester (or similar position). Contact your local government and see if there is a similar resource. Here in Virginia, we are losing our state tree, the dogwood, to Discula Anthracnose. The gypsy moth larvae too has devasted trees within the state. |
