Having just come down with my first poison ivy bout of the summer
-- right in time for the Fourth of July holiday -- I pass along a
word of warning I did not notice on your site. I will always take
off my rings before gardening from now on. My fingers swelled so
fast and so much (and have stayed that way for a week -- the
humidity hasn't helped) that circulation was an immediate and
costly concern. Sure, gloves may help, but definitely, no jewelry
or you'll find yourself at the emergency room having expensive
rings cut off because your fingers are purple!
