What an interesting salve! The Listerine is an antiseptic so plusses there to clean the site. The Maalox is probably similar to say calamine lotion in that it coats (the "clogging" you mentioned), and finally the peroxide is a mild bleaching agent. All in all this seems like a great solution you are mixing, Brian. I'll have to keep this one and try it for the next outbreak.
