I believe I got PI from my boyfriend throwing his "infected" clothing on my bed. He's not sensitive to the oil, but it turns out I am. So now, I'm covered in rashes, with new ones popping up daily. I've changed my sheets 3 times in the past two weeks (I thought it might have been bedbugs at first) and washed them in soap and hot water each time, but I need to know whether I have to now trash my mattress too. Can the oil have seeped through my cotton sheets and into my mattress? Can it then be transferred from the mattress back through the sheets?
