He wouldn't let me take it out of the bag! I figured I'd be nice and at least put it in one. I picked it on my way to the car, put it in a zip lock and by the time I got to work a half hour later, the stuff leaking out from the break was black in the bottom of the bag. He wasn't sure at first as were two other people - but he pulled up pix on the web and said It could be...are you sure you're not itchy? One of the other girls I work with almost had a conniption though...I was trying to correct a few myths - like the "just standing near it and I get it" one. And the "if you have the rash, I will get it from your rash one." Tried to tell them that it WASN'T contagious that way unless I still had the oil on me...but they don't want to listen. And the one girl looked at me like I was nuts for saying I was encouraging it to grow! I said stay out of my yard!
Question though - If in fact it is identified as PI which would mean that I'm immune right now - how can it affect/effect my cats if they get the oil on them? (Will post a few of the good shots for everyone who's been following this discussion) |
