| Everyone thinks I have Poison Ivy vining up the side of my house in the worst way. I've always been the type that I can stand downwind of it and I'll get the rash. I walk by this vine and brush it all the time (3 years now) and haven't gotten the rash. IT LOOKS LIKE IT COULD BE POISION IVY from all the pix I'm looking at on the site. It has the woody vines, the three leaflets, the flowers. However, it's not all really shiny, there's never been any berries on it, the underside of the leaves are kinda fuzzy feeling and some of them have red node-like things on them. I will post some pix on Tuesday (have to borrow a digital camera from a friend on Monday) - my phone repair guy thinks I'm nuts, cause I took one of the leaves and rubbed it on my arm (I'd have sprouted the rash within 20 minutes.) I also tore some of the leaves to damage them to see if they turn black. (But I usually hit it with the weed wacker to trim it and haven't seen any blackening of the edges...) The question in the meantime is this though: Is it ILLEGAL to grow Poison Ivy on purpose? I mean, can my township order me under threat of a fine to get rid of it? Cause if it turns out to be Poison Ivy, that would mean I'm now immune to it and I'll grow it on the perimeter of my whole yard to keep the neighbors' kids out of MY yard. Thanks!
