I have no personal experience but I can give you a number of references which may help you in the hunt to discover what gave you the itchies. Southern Florida is abundant in plants which cause contact dermatitis and more than just the ones we know best about. From what I have read, mangoes do contain urushiol oil and so can be a cause for dermatitis. Here are a number of references:
That last reference has a bit of information that I'll include here: Mango fruit (Mangifera indica) contains urushiol and cardol, and causes disease in those eating intact fruit or peeling the skin. The flesh of the fruit is safe to eat.
So that mango fruit is a possibility. I wanted to mention the Brazilian peppertree here. That plant is responsible for a large percentage of the contact dermatitis cases in southern Florida.
