I got into some poison ivy last Sunday, and about 6 hours later had started breaking out. I now have it all over the left side of my face, my neck, my right breast, abdomen, both lower legs, and both arms, the right worse than the left. I have scratched my right arm to the point of infection so I am taking antibiotics for the secondary infection. I am on a course of prednosone, keflex, and various anti itch medications. I have also been using Rhuli gel, Calidrel clear, vitamin E oil and aloe vera gell, and I still have itching.
I have taken off 5 days of work for this, including 2 days of weekend. I look like a disaster area. I would like to know how long it will take to clear up and don't look like I have a horrible disease particularly on my body. I have been good about not scratching my face but aM worried it will not clear up.
Any input will be helpful.
