The Ortho folks recommend that you don't use Brush-B-Gon near plants and grasses you like. Here's the link to the Brush-B-Gon website with information. I've read conflicting information on this product so I don't know. Apparently it does work well against poison ivy - perhaps you could do a very controlled spray on a near windless day? That would certainly minimize drift. The former hay field is an ideal site for poison ivy to grow. I would imagine there is quite a bit. Patience would be the key here to preserving as much of the grass as possible. |
