| Its interesting what some folks will swear is poison ivy, even those who are "supposed to know". I've had more arguments over virginia creeper than I care to count. So anyway, now that I've gotten off track - back on track it's not likely that what you saw was poison ivy. There are regional differences of course so I could be wrong but I've not come across any versions that were fuzzy. There are quite a few 3 leaflet plants out there and several are very good at masquerading as poison ivy. Go to our "Is It Poison Ivy?" section in the Pictures area of the site. You'll find lots of examples both of poison ivy and of look alikes. |
