I'm not surprised that you're sensitive to this plant. One thing I've discovered in all my reading to support this website is that very little research has been done on a large number of plants. About all I could find on the African sumac was that its considered an invasive plant and there are many references to discouraging planting it. There was nothing I could find that was definitive about the chemistry of the plant. If I come across any more information, I'll be sure to post.
