Hi,
Yesterday, I chopped a tree with intentions of burning the wood in a woodstove this winter. The tree had many poison ivy vines growing up the trunk. I am thinking a long summer without contact from the ivy, plus removing the bark will remove all oil from the actual wood. The oil from the ivy does not get into the wood, does it? Will it be safe to burn this winter? I am not burning the actual ivy.
thanks,
