I've had a chance to put up the pictures of the ashleaf maple which is that climb-over-the-composter tree I mentioned. I finally was able to identify the tree after pouring through 5 field guides and several dozen websites. YUCK! Anyway, I haven't finished up the new section of the website this page will be a part of but I'm putting a preview up here that you can see. Click here for information about this tree. The ashleaf maple is prone to sprouting at the base and caused me to do some serious head-scratching as I initially thought this was poison ivy. There are some definite poison ivy look-alikes in the tree realm. |
