I came into contact with a plant having broad green and white leaves with smooth green stems and thorns. The thorns ripped through my shirt, leaving a three inch scratch down the back of my right tricep. Soon, the skin erupted in an angry red mass of superating blisters. The "pus" was a thick amber fluid. Everywhere is went, the skin further erupted. Within a matter of days, even my fingers and the palms of my hands were showing signs of the "infection". It took a Prednisone shot, and additional pills to clear it up. For years after blisters would pop up on parts of my body. Not sure why, either, but a new case which just started yesterday will be sending me to a physician to get some answers. |
