Question Asked: This is growing up my deck near my normal vines. Can you tell me if it's Poison Ivy? This is in the Missouri region. Thanks!

Answer: Hi Steve -

Thanks for a fabulous close up view of a poison ivy vine. The vine itself is a little "greener" than I'm used to seeing but the rest of the plant has the classic traits. I love the closeup view of the aerial rootlets - those little dangling "strings" along the vine near the bottom. And the axil is very clear to see - that's the point where the leaf meets the stem (vine). It's at that point in the little crevice that you'll see the flowers and then drupes form.
